Welcome to Ryubin's Panorama Laboratory. We focus on exploring the capability of personal computing environment connected with the Net or the Cloud, in terms of producing and presenting ultra wide-angle motion pictures as well as still images with a hope of realizing affordable approaches or solutions allowing global panorama fans and hobbyists to easily create, enjoy and share their own world of omni-directional vision with minimum additional investment. "RyubinPanoPlayer", a small piece of Flash™-based
software designed to view or play a range of omni-directional photographs and motion pictures, is one of our major outcomes, and we make
it globally available as an SWF file via download for free of charge. The software is
easy to use and runs on any computer which works with Adobe® Flash™
environment, the most pervasive cross-platform media player in the world.
A notable advantage of our PanoPlayer is that it natively and flexibly implements our proprietary and innovative Flash-based
3D technology. This is why our PanoPlayer, as a single small piece of software, is capable of handling almost all types of panoramic projections including cubic, spherical, cylindrical, annular (doughnut shaped), single/dual fisheye, flat and more, for motion pictures as well as still images.
All of the deliverables downloadable from our download page including SWF files, template files such as XMLs, HTMLs and others are completely free to use for any purpose including re-distribution or commercial use on your own risk without the need of any notice or contact to us, while we claim all of the copyrights relevant to those deliverables belong to Ryubin Office. Please note that we make no warranties, expressed, implied, or statutory as to the deliverables freely downloadable from our site.
On April 14, 2007, we have released the world's first omni-directional
video player using Flash, which was capable of playing equi-rectangular type of panoramic video clips as an optional feature.
Many of the video images (flv files) used on this site were kindly provided by Jason Villmer (www.lucid.it), GlobalVison Communication, BIll Meikle, Tim Conway, Immersive Media Corporation(IMC) and the Point Grey Research, Inc.(PGR). Sound files (mp3) were provided by EZ-Tracks etc. Most of the still images were created by ourselves.
Enjoy our world of omni-directional vision!
